XetHub Service Shutdown

XetHub has joined Hugging Face 🤗! Our team is excited to continue our mission of enabling ML teams to operate like software teams by bringing our large-scale storage and collaboration features to Hugging Face's vibrant community of AI developers. As part of this change, we will be retiring XetHub services in order to focus our attention on Hugging Face Hub.

Important Dates

There are three phases of XetHub retirement:

• August 8, 2024: New user registration disabled.

• August 31, 2024: All XetHub repositories turned read-only.

• September 30, 2024: XetHub service shutdown.

Next Steps

Before XetHub is retired, ensure that your data has been moved into an accessible location.

• Find a replacement storage solution. For most users, the easiest path for continued versioning will be to use Git LFS. We recommend Hugging Face Hub, although you may consider other Git or cloud storage providers.

• Download your XetHub repositories. Use the access button from your repository to fully clone your repositories to a local or cloud computer before the service shutdown date. Then move your files to the replacement storage solution.
